WebI got 800K souls when I invaded as a Darkwraith and killed the host... I was SL 70-80 so I doubt that the host needed 8 million souls for his next level. Because the point of invasions is is to kill the host, not helping him but yeah it was so cheap to see them running trought the enemies or the infamous archers in anor londo. In Dark Souls 2 there is an item to turn the enemies against the invader so he can actually "help" you to clear the enemies but the items is kinda rare.
